Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to All!

Are you planning to make a "New Year's Resolution"?
Planning to challenge yourself and make a few improvements?

Instead of personal challenges to make more money, exercise more, eat less, etc,
let's focus on BEing more.
BE more kind, BE more thoughtful, BE more helpful!

As a result, life will BE more, because you were!

And like the sign over my desk says: BECAUSE NICE MATTERS!

Happy New Year and New Attitude!

So many exciting things have been happening at Edgy Petals, that I hardly know where to
begin! Voth photography has been to our store and captured our essence in some amazing
photos! And just in time for Triggerfish Design Group to use them on our fabulous new website! Make sure you check it out and follow the link for the flash site.

Being new to blogging, I gave a great deal of thought to my first post and it's content.
After debating with myself and discarding many ideas, I decided to go with whatever came to mind at the time of posting. Which brings me to a great topic: CHANGE.

Generally speaking, I figure that most of us are resistant to change purely from being afraid!
What you can't see, know, or predict, is a little scary. That is why it's easy to become "stuck in a rut" or "mired in muck" etc. etc.... and for myself, making the change from
our former store name to our wonderfully creative new one was a bit scary!
After 7 months in business in Summerland, I knew deep down and without a doubt that Summerlanders and visiting folks wanted and needed something more from the local shops.
They wanted CHANGE! They wanted more, and better than they were getting.
It only makes sense to shop local if it is engaging and fulfilling for whatever your needs may be.

So began my mission to become the best and most sought after floral boutique for every occasion and event.
This, I believe can only be done by being open to CHANGE! We will change with the seasons, change with the trends and change our products and services as needed to keep things exciting for our loyal customers and new clients.

Never be afraid of change..... whatever it brings can be a good thing, if you make it so!
